Ice Holes Survive Victorious Secret, Win 4–3 in Overtime

The Ice Holes and Victorious Secret delivered exactly what playoff hockey should: momentum swings, a blown lead, overtime, and several grown men wondering why they voluntarily do this to their bodies on weeknights. But hey, it’s A league. They’re still young, right?

The Ice Holes escaped with a 4–3 overtime win after nearly letting a 3–1 third-period lead slip away.

Victorious Secret struck first on a goal from Danny Randazzo, but the second period belonged to Cole Stallard, who scored twice to give the Ice Holes a 2–1 lead.

Brett Tracy made it 3–1 in the third, and for a brief moment it looked like the Ice Holes had things under control.

Naturally, that’s when everything went sideways.

Victorious Secret battled back, with Cory Cartier helping cut the deficit before the game was eventually tied 3–3.

The Ice Holes had controlled much of the night, finishing with a 32–20 advantage in shots, but suddenly none of that mattered.

It was overtime.

Early-game bench strategy:

“Work the puck low. Forecheck. Backcheck. Paycheck.”

Overtime strategy:

“GET IT OUT.”

Eventually, the Ice Holes found the winner and escaped with a 4–3 victory.

Peter Green earned the win in net, while Victorious Secret goalie Coty Wilkerson faced 32 shots and gave his team every chance to pull off the comeback.

It wasn’t clean. It wasn’t relaxing. But it’s the playoffs.
